Homedics makes home wellness devices, including Shiatsu massagers, foot spas, sound machines, humidifiers and air purifiers. It sells the full range directly on its own site as well as through retailers.
A good Homedics order depends on picking the right type of device for how you will use it. Running costs, such as replacement filters, matter as much as the price tag.
Choosing a Homedics Shiatsu massager
Homedics Shiatsu cushions and seat toppers use rotating nodes that knead the back and neck. Many models add a heat setting.
A cushion is portable and fits most chairs, including a car seat on some models. A full seat topper covers more of the back but takes up more space.
Homedics massagers are made for comfort, not treatment. If you have a medical condition, a pacemaker or are pregnant, ask a doctor before using one.
Foot spas and handheld massagers
Homedics foot spas combine warm water, bubbles and vibration. Check whether a model actually heats the water or only helps keep it warm.
Handheld Homedics massagers suit one area, such as the shoulders or calves. Look at the attachments, the handle length and whether it is corded or rechargeable.
Percussion massagers deliver faster, harder strokes. Start on the lowest setting and avoid bony areas.
Rechargeable Homedics handhelds are easier to use around the house, while corded ones never run out mid-session. Check the listed run time on a single charge before choosing.
SoundSpa sound machines
Homedics SoundSpa machines play white noise and nature sounds to mask background noise. Some models add a clock, projection or night light.
For travel, choose a compact SoundSpa that runs on batteries or USB. For a bedroom, a plug-in model is simpler and never runs flat.
Check the auto-off timer options. Some sleepers prefer the sound to run all night, while others want it to stop after an hour.
Humidifiers and air purifiers
Homedics humidifiers include ultrasonic cool mist and warm mist models. Tank size decides how long one fill lasts overnight.
Homedics TotalClean air purifiers are rated for a room size. Match the rating to your room, and check the price of replacement filters before choosing a model.
Use distilled water in ultrasonic humidifiers if the manual recommends it. Tap water can leave white dust on furniture.
Specs to compare before you order
On a Homedics massager, check the number of nodes, whether heat can be switched off and whether the unit has an auto shut-off. Those three details make the biggest difference in daily use.
On sound machines, compare the number of sounds, the volume range and the power source. A SoundSpa with a headphone jack or a quiet low setting suits shared bedrooms.
On purifiers and humidifiers, compare room coverage, noise on the lowest setting and how easy the tank or filter is to reach. A Homedics model you find awkward to clean will end up unused.
Warranty and support
Homedics products come with a limited warranty. Check the length and terms on the product page, as they can differ between product lines.
Keep your order confirmation and register the device if Homedics offers it. That makes a claim faster if a motor or heater fails.
Contact Homedics support about faults rather than opening the device yourself, which can void the warranty.
Gifts and seasonal timing
Homedics massagers and the Drift sand art tables are popular gifts. Prices tend to drop around holidays and seasonal sales.
Humidifiers and purifiers see more promotions in the colder months. The seasonal names on some Homedics codes reflect that.
Order gifts early, as popular Homedics models can sell out close to the holidays.
For a gift, check the return terms before ordering. Some buyers find a Shiatsu massager too firm or too gentle, and it helps if the recipient can swap it for another Homedics model.
Where the Homedics savings are
The 25% code is the strongest percentage on this list. Try it first on a Homedics massager or air purifier.
The 20% code is the fallback if the 25% code does not apply to your item.
The buy one, get one 40% off code suits a two-item order, such as a purifier plus a humidifier or two massagers as gifts. Compare it with 25% off both items at checkout and keep the lower total.
Codes may exclude some Homedics products or new releases. Check the total before paying.
