Dunkin': Dunkin' Rewards, Coffee for Home and Ordering from the Online Shop

Dunkin' serves coffee, espresso drinks, Refreshers, donuts, bagels and breakfast sandwiches through thousands of shops, and sells branded mugs, tumblers, clothing and gifts through its online shop. Dunkin' coffee is also sold in bags and pods for home brewing through supermarkets. Saving money at Dunkin' is split across three places: the app for drinks, the supermarket shelf for home coffee, and the online shop for merchandise.

How Dunkin' Rewards works

Dunkin' Rewards is the loyalty programme inside the Dunkin' app. You earn points on purchases paid through the app or scanned at the counter, and redeem them for items from a menu of rewards, from a drink add-in up to a full beverage or food item. Check the current earn rate and reward tiers in the app, since Dunkin' has restructured the programme before and may again.

The bigger value is often the personalised offers. Dunkin' pushes app-only deals such as bonus points on a particular drink, a discount on a food item or a free drink on certain days. Open the Offers tab before you order and activate anything relevant; many offers must be added to your account before checkout.

Ordering in the Dunkin' app

On Go Mobile Ordering lets you order ahead and skip the line, and it is where the Dunkin' app offers apply most smoothly. Pick the right store before you customise, because prices and menu items vary between franchised locations.

Customisations add up. Extra espresso shots, flavour swirls and cold foam each carry a charge at many Dunkin' shops. Flavour shots, which are unsweetened, have generally been free, while swirls are sweetened and cost extra. Knowing that difference is the easiest saving on a daily Dunkin' habit.

Medium and large sizes give more coffee per dollar than small. If you drink iced coffee slowly, ask for less ice, which some Dunkin' shops accommodate.

Dunkin' coffee at home

Dunkin' Original Blend is the medium roast most people know from the shops. It is sold as ground coffee, whole bean in some ranges, and as K-Cup pods for Keurig brewers. Dunkin' also sells darker roasts, decaf and seasonal flavoured coffees at home.

Per cup, a bag of ground Dunkin' coffee is far cheaper than pods, and pods are far cheaper than a Dunkin' shop drink. If you brew daily, a bag and a basic drip machine pay back quickly. Supermarkets run frequent promotions on Dunkin' bags and pod boxes, so buy several when the price drops; sealed coffee keeps for months.

Check the pod type before buying. Dunkin' K-Cups fit Keurig machines, and other capsule systems need their own versions.

The Dunkin' online shop

The Dunkin' online shop sells merchandise: travel mugs, tumblers, clothing, hats, home goods and seasonal gift items with Dunkin' branding. Limited drops, especially around holidays and collaborations, sell out fast, so decide quickly on anything marked limited.

Tumblers and mugs vary in capacity and material. Read whether an item is dishwasher safe and whether a tumbler is insulated before buying it for hot drinks. Clothing uses standard unisex sizing on most items; check the size chart on each listing.

Shipping costs can be a large share of a small Dunkin' shop order, which is where the free shipping codes below earn their place. Check the return terms, as sale and limited-edition merchandise may be final.

Dunkin' gift cards

Dunkin' gift cards can be loaded into the Dunkin' app and used to pay there, which also earns Dunkin' Rewards points on the purchase. That makes them a practical gift for a regular. Buy them from Dunkin' directly or from established retailers, and be wary of discounted cards from unknown resellers.

Where the Dunkin' savings are

These codes are for the Dunkin' online shop, not for drinks in a Dunkin' shop. For drinks, the app offers and Dunkin' Rewards are where the savings are.

The 25% code is the strongest on a larger merchandise order, such as a tumbler set or clothing. Try it first; if it is refused on your basket, fall back to the 20% code.

The free shipping code is the right choice on a single small item, where postage can be a large share of the total. On a bigger basket, a percentage off usually saves more than the shipping charge, so compare both totals before paying.

Only one code applies per Dunkin' shop order, and limited-edition drops may be excluded.

Common questions

Can I use these Dunkin' codes in a store?

No. They are for the Dunkin' online shop. In shops, use app offers and Dunkin' Rewards.

Do I need the Dunkin' app to earn points?

Yes. Points are tied to your Dunkin' Rewards account, which runs through the app.

Why is my Dunkin' drink priced differently at another shop?

Most Dunkin' shops are franchised and set their own prices, so the same drink can cost different amounts.

Is Dunkin' coffee at home the same as in the shop?

Original Blend is the same style of medium roast, but brewing method and strength change the taste.
